Countdown to graduation!

I completed Week 6 Run 3 last night and have just realised I've only got 9 more runs until I graduate 😳

I can't believe how quickly the weeks are ticking by and how much I'm actually beginning to look forward to my next run.

I'm toying with the idea of attempting my first park run tomorrow - mainly because I work for the NHS and it's the 70th anniversary celebration run weekend - however I haven't actually managed 5k yet so a little anxious it may all go horribly wrong 😂

Anyone else attempted this before graduating the program?

Definitely go! You will be amazed how many people don't run all the way (some don't run at all :) - we have some lovely walkers at our parkrun). You will wish you had started earlier. Just don't be shy - let people know you are new to the event and I am sure someone will soon take you under their wing. Just remember, it's not a race. Start slow (maybe even do your C25k run and start with a 5 minute walk), don't get pulled into starting too fast by the whippets at the front. Join the social runners, like me, at the back and you will love it!

Come back and let us know how you got on.

Loads of people do it before graduating - but many only run part way. It’s a really welcoming experience. Beware getting caught up in the atmosphere and hurting yourself!
