Welcome and hope to see you join the forum.

Great programme and a great decision to do the C25k here.

You will not regret it.👍👏👏

Many happy memories of the speckled church town and some of the people who live there.

I’m over the bridge in Clackmannan. We either go round gartmorn dam or devilla forest. There is always the falkirk park run which I keep toying with every sat morning.

I asked if it was ok to do the c25k programme at this and they said yes.

Im only on w2r3 tonight so not quite ready for the full 5k in one go. My wife has completed it and has now progressed further and was out on wed night with me having done 9k that morning just to keep me company.

I’m on w1r2 maybe today, got a dodgy Achilles so not sure if I’ll do it today or tomorrow. Your running 10k though? I’m currently running on the treadmill as I’m in the gym a lot. Well done your wife. I’m on a weightloss journey, can’t say I want to necessarily be a runner, but it would help with my goals. I know quite a few runners but they all run marathons lol totally out of my depth lol in my youth I won a marathon walk 36 miles in 9 hours

Think it would be a great goal to run the park run once I’ve finished the program

Im not running 10k my wife is pushing for that at present with one of her friends. I toyed with a treadmill for garage but the dogs come with us so win win they get there walk and we get our exercise. I was never a runner in my youth, played football several times a week alongside volleyball and various other quick burst sports but could never get in to running. My heart attack in 2015 made me decide I had been lacking in the exercise dept. So bike bought and was out on that for a while so hopefully by the time I can get the non stop 5k run under my belt I can keep that going and fit in the cycling alongside it. I’m still amazed that some one can run 26miles in just over 2 hours.

Oh I thought you had done 9km and 10km from your posts, I found wk1r1 not bad at all, wk2 looks ok but from wk3 onwards it looks hard lol. I’ve done karate all my life, and am in the gym 4/5 times a week. So pretty fit, but not running fit 🙄

Your wife’s doing great! Was she a runner before? I used to run when I was a kid, was pretty good, but we’re talking almost 40 years ago 😂

The 10k post was the screen shot of mapmyrun app which seemed to think I had run 10.4km at 2.55mins per km in 29 mins - if only 😀. My wife was never a runner but she started C25k to get fitter. First week I thought omg how hard can it be to run 60 secs - just goes to show how unfit you can get.

Ok I’ll run either today or tomorrow and take note of my pace. The 60 sec didn’t worry me, I’d been walking for 17-20 mins and running for 3 mins at the end.
