Help...writing this whilst on a run

I’m currently attempting week 3 run 1 and oh my god do my shins and calves kill. I currently run in Adidas nmds and I don’t know if these have anything to do with the pain that I’m experiencing it’s gotten to the point where I have to stop running. I do play football twice a week and I have no problem lasting 90 minuets playing that. I get most of my pain in the back of my calves like they’re tight and I have tried stretching before my runs but it doesn’t seem to do anything and even when I walk the dog the next day I feel my calves tighten when I walk up a slope...any idea?

Thanks:)

From what I can tell Adidas NMDs are fashion trainers, not running shoes, so they may well be causing you problems.

If you read the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... it will answer many of your queries and tell you what sort of stretching you should be doing.
