I thought I would write this in case there are any people out there thinking I CANT do that. I’m up to wk6r2. I started my journey 8th January my weight was 19.7 stone and being only 5ft10 I was/am still way over weight. I had done c25k once before and only made it to wk5 this was because I lost my job and things in life got in the way. 2 years later after joining slimming World I decided that I would try C25k again. Before my 1st run I think I was 3 weeks into slimming World I had lost 9lb. So after my 1st 3 runs which seemed to have the weather gods against me 2 runs in snow one in the poring rain. It was the dreaded Monday weighing. Thinking to my self I’m going to have a big loss this week. Low and behold I had gained half a pound. I was so disappointed that I nearly jacked the running in. The following week I managed to lose 6 and 1/2 pounds. I kept up the running and was relieved when I had the loss knowing that it had countered the gain from the week before. I kept running outside till week 5 when I decided that I wanted to join the gym again. I know that doing just the running wasn’t enough exercise for me. I sailed through wk 5 and even managed the 20min run. I will admit that my legs were sore but I kept going. I’m now on wk6r3. I decided that I would run out side again today to complete run 2, which I passed and even seem to be covering a mile in 10 mins. When my runs finish I always feel good but wish they were longer. This program is fantastic and I’m so glad I’ve kept it up and on Monday I got my 2stone sticker so since jan I’ve lost 30lb in weight. I know it’s not because of the running but I’m pretty sure it has helped me with it.

My journey so far
Fantastic progress 🙌👏👍
Thats incredible progress! You must feel amazing and so proud of yourself! I have loads to lose but I have given myself 2 years and I am not going near the scales, just seeing how my clothes feel. So far so good, I know I have lost some, I also know its slow, but thats fine. It means if I fall off the wagon for a day, I don't panic, I just get back on again. Best of luck with your journey!
well done!
I remember your post at the end of week 1 when you were so down after gaining that half a pound, so well done you for picking yourself up and carrying on. You're doing fantastically well with both the running and the weight loss. Onwards and upwards!
Oh that’s fantastic news and so inspiring I too remember your dispair at the half pound gain and now you’re way ahead of me I’m just about to complete week 5 run 2 but each at our own pace 😊 keep up the great work and I will too 🤪
You are doing incredibly well doug, congratulations. Think of all the health benefits. You say you wish the runs were longer! I wish I felt like that! Good luck and keep posting.
