Thanks to the team and the forum for the support. It has also been a very informative and inclusive experience.

I have enjoyed it so much that the only thing that hurts is my shoulder from txt’s.πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. It’s good that we do not have to crawl also.πŸ€”πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well done you!

Loved it. As usual everything we have been advised.Relax , start positive, remain positive πŸ™ˆOr whatever your personal commands are.

I even felt like sprinting at the end, but managed to restrain myself.

Looking forward to seeing your post. The forum are steering and cheering.πŸ‘πŸ‘

I have new proper serious running trainers to try tonight too, hoping that will make me fly!!

in reply to Seasidepanda

Gosh that will make you fly.Amazing.

I am not going to change anything until I finish.Sincerely and modestly I have so much confidence now after this 20 mins , the next 4 weeks is a gentle incline.Everything else considered.

Just go do it for you.You have done the prep. So it’s yours.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Well I pretty much did it!! Had to stop and walk for 2 mins at the half way mark, to talk to myself about slowing it down! Plus I forgot my headphones so instead of focussing on tunes I could only think about how close to death I was!! Lol!

Trainers were amazing though!

I am again just one behindπŸ€” πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ As you said we have got this sorted.πŸ‘πŸ‘. I have admired you positivety and pleased you have the passion.πŸ‘

I have only been a little apprehensive until I did this 20 mins today.Simply because I chose to start at week 5 and miss the first 4 on the basis of my existing fitness.

But it has worked out.I feel the next 4 weeks is consolidation.I am not going to change anything, all else considered.πŸ‘πŸ‘

Hi Tbae. Well done on this week.

This NHS c25k forum doesnt encourage or endorse missing out parts of the programme, even for those that are already running fit. Actually those who are already running fit most likely do not need the c25k programme or forum. Important therefore to maintain the programme’s integrity to support those who actually do need it.

Further, we do not wish to encourage others to take a similar off-programme approach and risk overuse injury.

The c25k programme is tried and tested by many thousands, starting with week one and building running legs throughout the nine weeks.

There is little fun in being on the injury couch and not being able to run at all through trying to do too much too soon.

Please take care with future runs.

well done you on getting this far. The podium is getting ever closer

Thanks Jancanrun.May have caused an unintentional embarrassment. We will see.But one thing for sure I will finish the rest of the course on my own, for sure.

You and your team have made it possible for me to arrive at this point and put me in a position to sensibly finish the job and I appreciate that. One size does not fit all .

Hi Jan, My simple dilemma as an unfit 70 plus , me, would not have made it through the course.Trust me on that.

A fit 74 , me , now will make it through the course.

Most interested elderly fitness persons are very , very savvy , and careful to avoid injuries because the recovery time is longer due to generally poorer blood supplies.

I have been very active in this environment for the last 3 years. Was even planning to do Crib Goch for-my 75 th in August.2018.

I have been very transparent. I did notice a medical piece of advise had been removed from the web site.Of course your poragitive. It is a bit of innocent information / knowledge and if it helps someone.I have already donated to medical research.πŸ€”
