No medical expertise but I get the same, it has lessened in W3, did the first run of W4 yesterday and this morning I'm fine. My son who did Sports Science to GCSE last year put it down to using/stretching new muscles compared to day to day walking, but he could easily be wrong... You could try leaving it an extra day between runs or really warm up and stretch before heading out.

Thank you, yes I think stretches maybe something I should do more of as I do weights before my runs and then forget to stretch a lot of the time. Will give it a go! 😄

You could try a longer warm-up walk and perhaps try some dynamic stretching: runnersworld.com/stretching...

Also, make sure you static stretch after your warm-down walk: nhs.uk/Livewell/c25k/Pages/...

And finally a foam roller may also help: runnersworld.com/foam-rolle...

Thank you, heard of the foam rollers before so may invest in one if problem persists 😊
