Week 8 to park run.

Week 8 run 1 completed and I am now starting to think of a park run, either Dewsbury or Brighouse. Hoping to hobble round in 45 mins or there about.

Any West Yorkshire folk have any thoughts about the merits of Dewsbury or Brighouse?

Also as I will have run for 30 mins and my 5k time will be over this should I just keep steadily increasing my time running?

Grateful for any thoughts.

Finish the programme first.. or use the Park Run as a graduation run. Start your warm up at the start line and then run for the 30 minutes.. walk the rest :) 5 K can follow after Graduation as it does for most of the Graduates :)

Thanks for the tip.

You can just steadily increase your time running week-by-week. Or you could take a run-walk approach to your first Parkrun if you like, I often run mine in intervals. Enjoy!
