So keep reading that Squats are a runners best friend....

For a man that has never squatted, how many squats are we talking here?

On the knee strengthening exercise page he does 3 reps of 10. I'd start with that. If it feels ok, maybe increase gradually 😊

Me too... even small runner in training does them.. holding onto the couch :) Rig would be proud of her:)

my advice would be just work on getting to one set of 10 with proper form first. Heeles stay on floor, hip goes below parallel to knee curve, back stays straight, chest up etc.

Then build to 3 sets of 10 as your daily minimum.

2 or 3 times a week work on doing a bit more. 3 sets of 30. start adding weights. throw in some single leg squats, do pause at the bottom for 30 seconds squats etc etc.
