I love to run in new places and explore. It’s never about distance or speed but for the joy of running, exploring and the heightened senses you get from running in a different place.
Today was the last run in London and this is what I encountered:
People fishing in the Thames...?!!
Aeroplanes taking off ( my run took me past city airport).
A man having a pi$$ under the flyover ( this wasn’t the best bit!!)
A man in a van grinning at me 😁
A very strong smell of love hearts....?!!
Waving to the people in the cable cars.
Something about what you see, hear, smell and feel when running that you just don’t get anywhere else..
In the downside I think Viktor ( my Garmin 225) is dying. Any recommendations on my new one much appreciated!!
Happy Panthering

Cool, glad you've enjoyed it. I'm about to do my Thursday 10K stretch around Battersea Park where last week several park attendants waved and smiled at me. Nearly freaked me out. Smile at me? ME? Lol London can be like that too
Yes, I have the 235. Fantastic / bombproof. Very occasionally loses the connection to my iPhone for syncing, but 5-7 day battery life, great selection of running data and optical HR. I cannot think of anything that I want that it does not do. I love getting the notifications on the 235 from my phone - who's calling, next appointment, even when my son posts to our family WhatsApp group from Cardiff Uni.
I thought that was your place Ju. It looks a bit like your harbour area, ish
You can get new batteries for some garmins I believe. There is a thing in Garmin support. You type in model number blah blah and it says yay or nay to battery replacement. In my case it was a nay 🙄
Running in pastures new always heightens the senses. 😃🏃♀️👍
Brilliant! Great place for a run. I love the idea of people waving from the cable cars. When I run under the bridges along the Tiber I like to look up and wave at the people above. I am sure they think I am slightly insane.
