W6R2 - In the bag ...

Well fellow, running, friends, tonight's run was Week 6 Run 2.

10 minute run, 3 minute walk, 10 minute run. I have to admit to being a bit apprehensive about tonight's run, just because I've been on the go most of the day. Busy busy busy ...

The first 10 minutes were fine, I settled into my running quite nicely, and kept an even 8k/hr all the way through, dead easy when you're on a treadmill, though the walk was not unwelcome, I was blowing a little at this point πŸ™„πŸ˜Š

Isn't it strange how a 3 minute walk is over in a heartbeat but 3 minutes left to run can seem like an eternity... πŸ˜•

Got started on the second 10 minutes, taking Michaels advice and slowing it down a little, I tried it at 7.5k, but it was too slow for me, nearly walking at that speed, so upped it to 7.8k, much better... the minutes were coming down too, not sure what was on tv, but it was distracting. Got a funny look from the girl on the next treadmill, and not because of my painted nails, or fancy pants, before you ask, I think I was singing to my music πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Eight minutes down, feeling good about me, and the run, I upped the pace to 8k and finished on a high note ...

All in all, I'm really pleased with my progress, but, onwards and upwards. Onwards and upwards ... πŸ‘πŸ™„πŸ˜Ž

Well done, you coped with that a hell of a lot better than I did..!! I'm sure you could have done it with one leg tied behind your back πŸ˜‚

Definitely do R3 outside - you'll be able to sing as much as you like..!! I learnt to sing, run and breathe simultaneously tonight πŸ€—πŸ˜‚

Really, really well done 😊

Hey you, compliments like that will get you anything ... ;-)

It was still tough , I had a right sheen going on, sweating like a fat lad in a pie shop ... but my personal will to succeed took over and I got through relatively well.

I have some planning tools to evaluate, and very likely a little car journey to take ... to plan out a route.

We are doing well, but you are on top form, you knocked off W6R3 ... WOW!!! Some serious respect coming your way, well done ... X

Great work Christene....now you are ready for your next run, yes you are and its rather special... I agree a nice flat route outside would be ideal 😎...

Thanks Jan, yes, I know I'm ready, and looking forward to the challenge. πŸ™„πŸ˜Ž

It will be odd, starting a run from home, but the start of a regular occurrence... I'll still use the gym though, and I'm taking up swimming too.

Looking forward to Saturday, the celebrations are already planned, hope the weather is dry, I'm going to have a patio fire πŸ”₯, a few GnT's 🍸, a few nibbles and a, small, bar of Fruit and Nut ... 🍫 roll on Saturday ... πŸ™„πŸ˜Š
