I’ve gone from doing no exercise (apart from running round after my kids) to this. Believe me, if I can do it, so can you 💪🏻

5 minutes isn’t too bad, just take it slow and steady. I’m going to redo week 4 cos we’re away up north to a caravan park next week and I have no idea what the grounds and area will be like for trying to run for 8 minutes. Gonna leave that one til I get back home.

Let us know how you get on, but trust the plan and have faith in yourself - you’ll smash it!

Welcome.

i think most of us felt like that, but if you read around the forum you will see inspirational posts from runners at all stages, achieving more than they could ever believe.

That self belief plays a huge role in becoming a runner, so trust the plan and believe me you will amaze yourself at what you actually manage to achieve.

C25k really works. Believe it............

God Yes. Probably most of us. I remember the first week I thought my lungs were going to come out of my chest alien style but now 3 months later (had to take a few weeks off due to a recurring back injury) I have finished week 8. Keep going, trust the plan, take it slow and steady and follow the mentors advice on here. You'll do it :0)

Of course! But we all know you are fab and you will be even fabber! (*if that's a thing?) You can do this!

Enjoy the journey; each one is unique but you have done the hardest thing (run 1) and now it's just onwards and upwards!

Yes and I still do. Week 1 I struggled to see how I'd move on to week 2. Week 2 I was worried about week 3. And so on. Tomorrow I'll hopefully be finishing week 7 - and then I'll be worried about week 8. That feeling has never left me, but I've been able to follow the programme so far and have enjoyed giving my doubts the finger every time I run longer than I thought I ever could. You can absolutely do this.

Pretty much everyone of us I would think....

But look how many posts there are Week by week, they alone should give you some comfort in your abilities...

Anyway you're nearly done with W1 well done....

Yep :) I can remember week 2, being surprised that I made it past the 60 seconds (although my legs did want to still be programmed to 60-seconds-is-it mode) that I'd done in the first week.

Actually, each week I'm surprised that I've got there. And I've been doing this for 2 months. You'll be astounded when you look back in a few months. It's a thrilling journey!

Absolutely. Every time the time increases I think there is nothing left in the tank but today I ran for 20mins and in a few short weeks you will as well!
