It could be time to say goodbye to my trusty Asics

The treads are heavily worn and they've noticeably lost their spring. I did a run on the treadmill today and had some pain reminiscent of shin splints that I've not had for many months.

I've run probably 500k in them and I guess walked a couple of hundred more, they may have to retire and become walking shoes 😢

New shoe time:) Wonderful... :)

I came into the kitchen to a real bad smell...kind of cheesy and damp... Looked askance at the dog but then realised it was my trainers. YUK!

If they can't be rehabilitated they will have to be out the door :(

A few years ago, when times were tighter, I made my trainers last for several years. I got an achilles injury which stopped all exercise, went to a physio and he suggested a new pair of trainers. Result - almost an overnight cure. Old or worn shoes can cause you damage.
