One of the real plus' about C25K is you work at your own pace, no one except you dictates when you move forward except you.

What I would say is this, if you think you need to extend it then do so, if you managed to complete all the running sections then I would consider moving forward to week 2, you can always adjust your speed a little if you need to, there's nothing wrong with slow and steady, it's got many others, including myself though.

Your fitness and stamina WILL increase as you progress and without you realising it.

Thanks for the advice LeeU - I might do another week 1 run on Wednesday and see if I can move to week 2 on Friday. I struggled today!

I did a 4th run on wk 1- honestly looking back now I really didn't need to- just need to push yourself forward. You have come this far.... you can go further 😊

Of course you should do what makes you feel comfortable BUT week one is difficult but you did it....Week 2 will be difficult, but you will do it.....Week 3 (well you get the message). The programme works by giving you carefully graduated steps that will challenge but that are completely achievable. Slow down if you are struggling but as long as you have done the run, my advice would be to move on. Running is as much (if not more) about your head as your body.

Face the fear and do it anyway :)
