Halifax Park Run

Although I have just restarted the C25k program I decided to do my first park run yesterday. I knew I'd be nowhere near the 5k distance by the time the podcast had finished but just carried on jogging a bit and walking a bit to the finish line.

It was very satisfying and I'm grateful for the welcome and encouragement me and my little boy got. I thought I'd be a bit embarrassed being near the back but not a bit of it. The volunteers and other participants were great.

So, if anyone else is worried about joining their first park run I'd say "go for it"!

As far as I can tell, every parkrun found the world is like that.

Well done.
