This time I stuck to the 28 minute schedule running, but actually in all covered more than I did last time on the same circuit. Was delighted to see that in the total 38 minutes I had run 4.9 km - so 5 km should be in the target range during week 9 even if includes the 10 minutes walking.
Main sight to drink in while running was the sun's rays coming through the clouds reflected on the water and moving across the ripples as I ran along.
Also a flock of black-billed gulls (I think) taking off and circling over the water. One got separated and flew ahead of me, almost as if to beckon me on.
All very good therapy after an extremely frustrating day!

Sounds like great advice Jan - to keep doing the 30 min runs and let the pace build up! Will definitely give it a try - will need some sort of program after Week 9 is completed!
Still can hardly believe I'm thinking in terms of actually completing Week 9!! When I started .... looked like a mountain to climb!
That's the plan - in fact there is one in Abingdon where I live, also for muddy days when the Abingdon circuit gets a bit boggy, there is one in Didcot, and two in Oxford, so am spoilt for choice!
