Hi, how are you finding the vivioactive hr? - i have the vivosmart hr and am looking to hand this down to my daughter - So I am now looking at either the active or the FR 235 as a wee treat to myself.

I'm enjoying it! It is my first such watch, though, so to be fair I'm still in that excitement of "Oh my god it counts EVERYTHING!" Two things you should probably know:

1) I wanted this one because it would track swimming and has a built in HR monitor--a rare combination.

2) For that reason, I will put up with the fact that you can't send training programs to it from Garmin Connect. Seriously--it has all the functionality it needs but it's "not a compatible device" 😒

So yeah. Depends which is more important to you, I guess. And yeah--remember I speak with no point of comparison!

How are you finding the display for reading brightness?

It was awkward at first, for sure. And sometimes it still is, but I'm used to it now and I don't have it on the brightest setting by any means. One of the keys for me was getting an easily readable watch face for it, so I've now got a big digital display with an easily visible bar for my daily steps progress. Probably there are other good ones but this one works for me 🙃 And by all means come and find me on Garmin Connect!

Well decided to send the vivoactive hr back and kept the forerunner 235.
