Hi can someone point me in the direction of explaining the 10% rule, is it time or distance and how often is it increased. I am on my 3rd post grad run tomorrow not quite running the 5k so I do want to get there but sensibly. I'm currently running just over 4K in 30 mins. Thank you!

Hi, add 10% to the weekly distance total. So, you say you're doing about 4k 3 times a week, 4x3=12 then adding 10% = 1.2, so add 1.2k over the next week, adding .4k to each of your 3 runs in that week, then increasing again on that in the following week, or stay with the first increase for a spell, it's really up to you and how you feel. 😊
