Hello all. Did my first 'run' yesterday with my 10 and 7 year olds in tow (well actually out in front tbh). They seemed relatively motivated and enjoyed tracking their route etc. Anyone else done this with kids and any tips for keeping them engaged for the 9 weeks?

Yes I train with my 10 year old daughter on one of the runs each week - usually Sunday mornings. She is quite inspiring as she manages to talk the whole way and keep me going. To keep her engaged I've signed us all - my husband, her and I - to the 5k race for life family run so she has a target to keep her going (altho at the moment it's more me that needs it!). We are finishing week 5 training just now and the race is in 4 weeks time. She's quite excited about it, I'm terrified!!

I have been doing the programme with my granddaughter who is nearly 9. Not a natural runner - she has found it quite challenging at times, bless her. We should be graduating this week and are doing Race for Life on Sunday. She keeps asking what we will be doing next as she has come to love it! I think she was motivated by a lot of ice cream rewards initially!
