Ahhh pain

Well I slightly pulled something in my calf on my last run. So I rested for an extra day and went out for WK2R3 this evening. I warmed up (but obviously not enough) did my five minute warm up walk and then started my first rep. It was immediate....pain in lower calf on right leg. My body immediately said stop ✋ so I did. And gently walked home.

I know that if I carried on I would have done some damage. Being new to jogging, taking it slow and enjoying it I am massively disappointed. 😭Anyone have any advice on how I should proceed?

The same thing happened to me in the first couple of weeks. I know it's not what you want to do but I stopped and gave it a few days to really get better, then just took it really slowly. And made sure I stretched properly before and after. I hurt my calf a couple of times and thought I had to give up but I got through it and am now running for 30 mins! Good luck and keep going!

Thank you. 🙏Yes I think I will rest for the rest of the week and give it another go. I am inherently lazy and so was buzzing and motivated. Feels like a bit of a blow.

I know, it's so disappointing, happened twice to me. I learned to listen to my body and be a bit patient and it paid off in the end. You'll be fine!
