Hi I'm on week 4 and now running for 5 mins but my legs feel like lead. I'm 2 stones overweight and wonder if that's hindering my energy?

I think you probably know the answer..?
You are doing well and getting to longer runs now...so..maybe slow down a little? I assume you are linking a healthy eating regime with this? Exercise and good healthy eating is a great combination.🙂
Some other exercise too, on your rest days could help; strength and flex, swimming,cycling,walking...all things to help your core strength and stamina🙂
Hope some if the may help...keep us posted🙂
I'm a heavier runner and when I am training regularly my legs typically hurt for the first mile or so. But then the aches and pains subside and I'm off!! And my numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, etc.) are so much better when I'm training. When I was training for a half, I really babied my legs by using icy hot, icing afterwards, and even taping them on the long runs.
