Week5 run3

Done and dusted! So pleased with myself. Before the run I was worried that I wouldn't be able to run for the 20 minutes straight. It didn't help any that my wife/running buddy had to drop out this week due to injury.

So I started my run and Laura did her usual pep talk and before I knew it I was at 10 minutes and had just fallen into a rhythm. One step in front of the other and just kept going. With 2 minutes to go I even increased my pace slightly.

This run is definitely all in the mind. When Laura says you are fit enough and to trust the program she is absolutely right. Now having run for 20 I'm convinced I can go on and run the 25 and 30. I'm actually looking forward to my next run. Buzzing.

I had said before starting the program that I didn't want to tell anyone I was doing it, now I want to boast about it lol.

Well done, yes it's a mental milestone and you feel invincible.

Remember on week 6 don't get too cocky, I found it OK but others have pushed too hard boosted by the success of w5d3 and it's hit the confidence. You are quite right, trust the programme, looking forward I found that after week 6 I really then became a runner and started really enjoying it, so once again well done!
