Ha! I have a Morton's Neuroma on my right foot which is quite painful although it is not painful when running. Anyway I have put myself on the sofa until the specialist I am seeing on Thursday tells me what I need to do. I don't want to make it any worse than it possible is now. Hopefully massage techniques and possibly an injection will cure it.
I am not convinced this happened due to running although it might have aggravated it. Anyway I am sure I will be back in my running shoes very shortly and trying to complete 5k in under 30 minutes.
Happy running everyone.

I'm not familiar with the condition but it sounds painful, your right to wait and get advice. Make sure who you see is aware of your sport so they can give you specialist advice. Hope your not out for too long, speedy recovery. X,
I have an appointment with a sports Doctor this lunch time. I have been reading his bio and his patients are mainly "elite athletes" and now me! It made me giggle 😊.
That's fantastic, it makes such a difference. I go to physio in a sports injury clinic and they just understand my need to run, so when They told me I couldn't for a little time this year (frozen shoulder) I knew I had to listen, but he got me back to it as soon as he could and it was always my first question every time I went. Good luck for later.
My husband has Morton's Neuroma and he isn't a runner. He's on his feet a lot as he's a plumbing/heating engineer. He's seen the Dr and has decided to postpone surgery and see how it goes. We both love walking, but it has curtailed that for a while for him.
I have it too in my left foot but currently it's manageable. I did discover early on yhoughbthat my shoes were a bit small which made it much worse. Having bigger shoes definately helps though.
My appointment with the doctor was inconclusive so have a MRI scan booked for Monday. There is a lot of fluid around my joints but he could'nt see the Neuroma.
Hi yes I believe I am on the right track. I had an injection on Monday and hopefully that should help, at the moment it is quite tender still. I have been given a couple of exercises one a balancing one and the other scrunching a towel up with your toes ( not very good with that one but determined to master it). On Monday I will have a set of Orthotics caste and with this combination I hope to be running in early January.
Really kind of you to ask. I do feel frustrated but I am looking forward to the New Year and getting myself back into a healthy running regime.
