All I can say is get used to that. I think you will find most people on here will tell you exactly the same.
Thanks 👌
Just keep plugging away - slow and steady. Do what Laura tells you, take your rest days and enjoy!
I love Laura to bit's but she never replys when I say im running on empty 😂
But thank you for the reply x
You will find your run happy as you progress through the runs. There are things you can do to make that more likely. Get plenty of good food and sleep. Make sure your pre run meal or snack is a healthy one and you let it digest properly before setting off. If you want to you can walk for longer before starting the podcast. I was - and still am - terribly slow to warm up so I started warming up in the house before setting off
Take your time on your runs and go nice and steady. Enjoy yourself. It's fun!
And don't beat yourself up if a run doesn't go to plan! It happens...to everyone at some time. Just put it away and forget it. At the very least, it will be an extra few kms that will count towards getting stronger for the next one. However, please do celebrate the good ones!
Take it steady, don't be in rush either to finish individual runs or the plan itself. You need to build slowly to avoid injury, and it's more enjoyable that way too.
Hi Nice_42.
How far along on the programme are you?
I had a great 2nd run the other day, then the 3rd one was rubbish. Felt sick, had to stop felt awful.
Lots of positive comments helped pick me up though and a repeat of the run went much better.
Is this the first time you have taken up running? I've never run before so this is all new for me too. The group on here is great, any questions, just ask them.
The best advice? Go slow. Slower than you think you should. Slower than you think other people walking past would be expecting you to. As the weeks progress and your strength increases, you will get quicker - maybe.
Otherwise, keep posting and enjoy the runs.
