How to tie your running shoes

I found this and thought i would try the wide lacing as my feet have been aching - my running shoes are worn in and about 4 weeks old and very comfortable - it may be down to the lacing up?

Any comments?

Yep I learned about lacing early on when I found my toes were getting squashed and pain on top of my feet. Some (if not all) running shoes have two spare lace holes and I wondered what they were for. Had a look at the lacing plan and found it was to bring the top of the shoe closer into the fit to give a better, snug fit around the ankle. Clever innit! I think early on we pull our shoes really far too tight. I know I did. Ouch

That's really interesting. I have the wide forefoot so will experiment. Thanks
