The virtual me is on her way over in her personal Tardis to cheer you on in a ra-ra-skirt, blond wig and trainers. Take it easy (bad timing for a chest infection :( ) and show us the medal when you've finished! Go go go! PS. Resist the temptation to force-feed hubby with the trainers.

Excellent job for going hobo at, take it nice and steady and relish the feeling once you have completed it. I'll be there with mfamilias lol.

Awww good luck chuck. I'll be supporting you, albeit virtually (Along with the others) Just imagine us bunch of looneys at the end all waving our trainers in the air for you☺

Hope the chest infection clears up soon. X

Chin up, we are all supporting you. Take note of everything that happens and write us a report afterwards because we ARE all interested and those doing RFL later in the year would like to know. Take care with your chest infection and GOOD LUCK !!

Good luck - enjoy it for yourself and let us know how you get on. Take care of yourself too though - don't overdo it. Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

Ah good luck girl you go for it!!! But take it easy and slow with that chest, doesn't sound too clever. We're all here cheering you on, think of what you will post when you are victorious, we will all be impressed whatever the result. Whoop whoop!!!

Good luck! I'm sure there'll be loads of people in a similar situation- and I'm sure there'll be a good crowd of general supporters for all the runners!. Hope you really enjoy it and manage to get round ok despite the chest infection.

The best thing about being a part of this forum is the sure and certain knowledge that there are loads and loads of people running at your side when you go out. It's like having a whole host of wing men and wing ladies; your own personal fan club, and cheering crowd who go everywhere with you ( ok we don't follow you for your pre-race loo stop, that would be weird) Anyway, my point is, you're not alone. WE want you to do well and WE want to hear all about it. WE will be there in spirit with you all the way round, and we will be reminding you not to run too fast with a chest infection.

Good luck Hobocat, go get 'em, Sweetie! xx

Good luck - as others have said you will love it. Take it slow, enjoy the atmosphere and be proud of raising money for such a good cause.

The virtual us is behind you every step of the way. Hope you get so swept up in the shear fun of it you forget about your chest infection. The atmosphere is usually lovely at these events I am sure you won't feel alone. Happy running.

"hubby said he would be bored hanging a round for me"..... speechless!... and you're doing an event to help others with cancer and you don't feel well....

Sorry for the minor rant, enjoy your run and I really hope you feel better soon. :-)

Yes, what a selfish, careless remark.

Never mind him, although I would store that remark in my memory bank, and time my response, but not today cos it's race day!

My guess is, your chest will be forgotten as you have such a fun day. It will be a blast from start to finish. Honestly, you'll be swept along by the sheer brilliance of it all.

It's such a good cause too so get out there and have a ball

We'll be here when you get back and you can tell us all about it

Enjoy your run - I'm there for you in spirit. Sorry your partner said something so silly. My partner couldn't make one race of mine and in the end I didn't mind. The runners, crowd and organizers were all so good and everybody was so excited.
