Not to complicate things too much, but I have a Forerunner 10.
If you're sneaky you can get one on Ebay for £50 and they are brill! They do distance, speed, calories, tell you about personal bests and whether you're ahead or behind your usual time. They only missing feature is a heart rate monitor, personally I don't miss it- I can tell when my heart rate is up! Good luck with the search

Read the very detailed reviews on DC Rainmaker's blog. Among other things he compares the relative sizes of all the Garmin watches with side-by-side photos, dcrainmaker.com/product-rev...

The 15 is coming out (or is it out now?) If you want a hrm. Other than that I'd go for the 220 over the 110, the 110 and 210 were a little unreliable and the x20 seem much better

I love this one but just bear in mind if you are in wooded areas the GPS can take a while to work
