I ve completed all the runs successfully up to wk5 run 2 but have now been forced to rest for 10 days. Should I repeat a week or so? Thanks!

Hi, I just had to have 2 weeks off with sprained ankle. Was up to wk6r2 and have just started again at wk6r1. It was pretty hard as I haven't kept up my fitness, but manageable. I would just start at wk5r1 again and see how you get on. I think you should try, but don't worry too much if you don't make it, just try again!

Ok thanks - sounds good advise. It's so frustrating having to take a break isn't it!

I was at W5R1 when I hurt my calf so I took three weeks off and started again at week 4. I managed 2 runs and then had to have some more rest for another 2 weeks. My wife and I started again on Saturday with W4R1 again and felt a bit tired. Yesterday we managed R2 with ease and are looking forward to R3 maybe on Thursday. I'd say, take as much time as you need to be comfortable. There is no ignominy in going back a couple of runs. It's not as if you have the exact week and run number on your back as you run. If I felt that I stopped enjoying my running because I did too much, I'd be annoyed.
