Dylan,

I understand your frustration, but stay positive, for the first time you have ran for 5 minutes non stop! Think back to week 1 or week 2. Could you have imagined achieving this?

Wednesday is another day and another run, and I'm sure you'll do it. If I can do it, anyone can.

Same run for me today, I started ok with the first 3 and 5 minute, I managed the second 3 minute, but the second 5 minute got the better of me! Bit disappointed because I've found it manageable til now. I'm going to do run 1 again until I can do it fully before even starting run 2!

Don't lose heart. I found W4R1 really tough but persevered and completed run 3 last weekend and it felt much better as the week went on. Keep on going, stay positive and you'll be starting week 5 before you know it :)

What I found was that I was running just that bit too fast. This actually happened to me on W3 and, following advice from the lovely people on this forum, I slowed down ever so slightly and managed it really well on two out of my three W4 runs (the middle one was in a different place with more ups and downs, so I wasn't pacing it so well. I then made the translation to W5R1 really easily. Will find out later if it still works at 8mins!!!! :) Keep going. You can do it.

Try not to be so hard on yourself! Look at what you have achieved so far.

During some of my weeks I repeated some of the runs, because I thought I didn't do them justice.

Stick with it.

Slow your pace right down. Once you can run 5k, you can work on speed if you want to. Stixk with the plan, you can do it.

I'm starting week 4 tonight and it looks like such a big step up from week 3!! Think it'll take me more than 3 attempts to master week 4!!
