first day breathers

After my first day doing the programme, as stated in my last post I found it extreamly hard, having to stop half way through for an extended breather, does this matter if I have to stop more that the program suggests, and for longer breathers, as long as I do all 60 second jogs and complete the time?

First off, welcome! :-) C25K is such a flexible program and designed to work for all fitness levels. You are doing great! If you want to repeat runs/weeks, you are free to do so. Don't worry about how fast you're going, just go slow and complete each "run" Anything beyond a brisk walk is fine if you feel like you can do it. Working through the program, you are building stamina. Speed will come later. :-) I remember week 1 as such a huge dose of reality for me, I didn't realize I was so out of shape. Good luck to you! Ditto what Gayle just said. Week One is an amazing reality check. Stick with it and good luck. Delia
