Hi Dawn, Suggest slow down, sit down, lower your head , and do relaxed, controlled pursed lips breathing. It does help, a lot. Also suggest you see your Dr asap as talk therapy and medications can also help, a lot. And by the way this is not a coincidence, COPD and anxiety tend to go hand in hand and it can become a vicious circle. Please keep us posted as to how you are doing. All Best Wishes, judg69

Hi Peter: I know how hard it is to do but you have to learn to relax and do your pursed lip breathing as someone has already stated. Make sure you are drinking lots of water as this will thin out the mucus so you can get it out of there. You could be having a flare up and need antibotic's, call your doctor and tell him/her what is going on. Have the doctor send you to pulmonary rehab. If you aren't already on oxygen maybe you need to be,the doctor needs to have a 6 minute walk test done. Keep us posted on how your doing.
