Doctor didn't see the holes in my colon!

On April 25, I went to the emergency room at a hospital north of me. Doctor diagnosed me as being constipated and sent me home.

On April 29th, I again called ambo and they brought me to a trauma hospital. I was vomiting lots of blood from ulcers I didn't know I had. I was hospitalized for 3 days and discharged.

A few days later, I was back in the hospital emergency room. Doctor found several holes in my colon and an abscessed abdominal wall. Now I have a colostomy.

How in the heck could the first doctor - and the second one for that matter - have missed the abscesses and holes???

Then, when I went to the surgeon for a follow-up, I complained about the heavy mucus discharge and he gave me absolutely no advice. I researched on the web and found out that heavy mucus can be the result of inflammation, infection and a couple of other serious things. I finally resolved it myself.

I wish I didn't have to rely on these guys.
