My procedure is at 7:30am today and here’s my experience so far in the prep (SuPrep the low volume one)

No Solid Foods at all

5:00pm started the first dose and of course hated it but I tried to keep my mind off of it by listening to music and moving around.

5:30pm done with the cup and started to drink the water that must follow behind the dose. By this point I began to feel a bit weak.

5:45pm coming in hot! Boy this stuff moves fast.

I was pretty clear by the third poop but things just kept right on moving and DID NOT stop until about 7pm. I would think I was done, wash my hands to just turn right back around. The bathroom was seriously the only place to be.

7:15pm feeling better but stomach is hungry. Tried to rest a little

Second dose I started at midnight per dr instruction. Boy does it duck because I’m still on the freaking toilet and all I want to do is sleep. The time from midnight to now has been going so slowly. I hope I’ll be able to get off this thing soon. Oh yea definitely use some butt cream before as I did not and that is a huge burning mistake.

If anybody is up reading. It’s rough but I keep telling myself you’re about to get a real good nap so hang in there.

Hi Cleaneats,

Great description of what goes on. But why midnight for the 2nd dose? You probably got to bed about 2:30 am any way. It is a rough time but necessary.

I’m not sure but it was in the instructions. I didn’t stop until 5:30am and still did one last one about 15 min before procedure at the hospital. My procedure was at 7:30!!! I was exhausted and burning down below! Agreed it was definitely needed.

hi there hope everything went well for you! I’m on my first year watch and wait, I had all this last year when after a colonoscopy 4 polyps removed and one came back cancerous, so I’ve been on a journey, operation to remove the rest of the cancer and 3 CT scans MRI scans blood tests and two sigmoidoscopy later doing just fine, I was so lucky it was found early, I’ve another colonoscopy in Mach and so on , I’m not looking forward to the bowel preparations but has to be done, all the very best to you.
