Update ,had Fit test and 2 other stool tests done ,now waiting for results ,am in Manchester UK ,how long did you have to wait for results

hi, I had a FIT rest done back in a March this year. I’m from Ipswich. I got my result in 2 days. Tests seem to be generally quick when it come to my GP surgery.

The standard waiting time is no more than 7 days. Test can come back quicker than 7 days. Keep checking everyday if you have access online. Or ring surgery every other day during the afternoons.

It’s too difficult to sit on your habds and wait. I can’t do that.

I can understand the anxiety. I have all bc red flags but qfit always low ( score 3 ) and took about 7 days . Colonoscopy / gastro scope revealed some other conditions. The fit test is not a diagnosis but a possible lead to other tests that might find cause for higher fit. .best of wishes.

Mine was positive I was worried sick thinking the worse...but colonoscopy showed nothing at all..so pls try not to worry as it could be nothing.. if they do find anything it could be polyps or internal hermaroids..they can deal with this during the procedure I know its awful I have health anxiety and I blow everything up straight away its very debilitating as takes over your life...I'm trying to deal with that...so pls try not to worry ..I'm ❤️

Agree. I also made the mistake of search online. Web search engines perhaps not the best thing for medical symptoms.

Thank you so much for all your replies ,last night I had the most awful acid poop and again I went into panic mode ,didn't help that I was with one of my students who was doing an exam ,!!!

New update ,all tests came back negative ,Fit test negative,inflammation negative ,bugs ect negative ,so relieved ,Dr thinks it may be related to chappy diet and various intolerance that I have ,Thank you all for your support and kind words ,I wish you all the very ,very best ,please look after yourselves
