Scared it might be some type of cancer I've always had IBS so you're maybe since I was young child but what's got me nice scan is from the time I was in third grade until 23 I know 30 I used to eat plastic meaning yes I was wrong that had a strange and addiction to eating plastic meaning like the plastic awesome water bottles anything that was like plastic classic chewable grapes that you would see me grandmother's baskets the fake ones to the original bic pens I will take painting metal piece out and I would eat about 12 pins a day how much until I like swallow day that was the hardest addiction I've ever broke but just thinking back through the years of all the plastic bits inside of me and that I cannot digest or haven't digest because they say you can't digesting and plastic can cause cancer now as I am 30 years old I'm starting to take my health very serious but I've noticed the DraStic change in my pooping last 6 months to a year

Hi Apie2373,

Thank you for posting in Colon Cancer Connected. I'm sorry that these symptoms are causing you anxiety.

This is interesting as it pertains to ingesting something that may cause an illness. I'm not sure how long that may hang out in the body or even if the body would be able to "pass" it. The absolute best way to be sure is to check it out with your doctor. Perhaps the first step would be a FIT test to see if there is actual bleeding going on or it's something else. Also, an endoscopy and a colonoscopy would be a way to see if there are any plastic bits causing issues. I would definitely seek answers by seeing your physician and getting on a path to figure it out.

I wouldn't be overly concerned by thinking right away it's a cancer related issue, but you should definitely check it out with your doctor so you'll actually know and not have to worry about what may be going on.

We do wish you the best. Please keep us informed about what you find out. It may help others seeking answers to a similar issue.

Thank You,
