Hi as the title suggests ive felt I may have colon cancer for few years now ive watched the pain get worse and spread to different parts of digestive system but my doctor hasnt taken me seriously.

My symptoms are pain in both sides just above my belly button and pain lower right abdomen this is physical pain to touch, I also have had inconstant bowel movements for a very long time, I have never found blood in my stool but have mucus. I feel as though i have gained weight when not even eating alot and more recently I have constant spasms right side of belly button not that painful but constant never stop and all.

My doctor is convinced its IBS but the reason im doubting him is because theses symptoms are constant they dont change with what i eat there never mild then severe just constant i have ibs tablets on high doseage and do not even ease any symptoms.

I will say this i have been addicted to fizzy drinks all my life and rarely drink anything else i tried for a few weeks just water again symptoms did not change maybe damage has all ready been done.?

One final thing that has crossed mind is this could be Hernia? Im slightly over weight especially on my belly area and ive noticed the pain is like in the fat aswell i dont know if thats a nerve thing from whats going on inside me but yeah sorry for the long read and appreciate any help thanks. Simon.

Hi sounds like you're doctor might be right I'm talking from being a lot like you I'm over weight had ibs for years but I am now on my last year of the colon cancer free stage and your putting on weight as I did with IBS and the pain never changed IBS I used to spend two hours in the bathroom and my mum had to bring me apple juice to help me out but have you tried this stop almost all fiber? As a cancer patient I now only have 10% of my bowls left and I get relief I had rapid weight loss of half my body weight I couldn't eat or drink and I had flu like symptoms for over a month but all that and 7 doctors missed it but one doctor looked at my back issues and including that as a symptom found it the cancer team told me fiber was bad for me and to cut it down to very little and when I told them the doctors told me more fiber thay said for some people fiber causes these problems now I have like fiber days were I can have some fiber that I like once a month.

Hope this helps you out
