Fear of Diagnosis.

A lot of fear around being tested for cancer. I have been having 6 to 8 bowel movements a day and a lot of fatigue. I hope it is IBS. Having a colonscopy within two weeks. Very fearful as i have seen my brother die of cancer at the age of 45. I will keep it in the day and do the next thing i have to do for my health. my stools are very thin.

The research has made massive difference to CRC.

Generally the offending piece of colon is chopped off and the shorter version reconnected. You may have chemotherapy for a few months. The survival rates are excellent now

Hi , I am have also experienced the symptoms your experiencing. I'm 19 year old male. I went to gp and they done alot of tests all were negative. I'm now waiting till 24th August to see the gastro doc which is a long wait. You say you have 6 to 8 bowel movements a day are they painful do you need to strain. You say your stools are thin but are they always thin and pencil thin or just thin. I also have thin stools not pencil thin.

Thinking of you and hoping your test results came out okay. It is great that you went to your doctor with your symptoms. Genetic testing is also an option to see if the disease runs in your family. Best wishes!

Hi, did you get any results back bournemouth1? Was it IBS? I am suffering with bad symptoms too, and extreme weight loss and fatigue is making me think the worst. I have a colonoscopy in 2 weeks. I hope you’re test results were ok.
