Hi, I am hoping to find someone who is going through the same. My partner has CMT, 2 weeks ago we also found out our 2 year old does too. Recently our son has been screaming in pain with leg cramps during his sleep. Should I take him to see the GP or just carry on giving him calpol? Thank you

Hi Emily. Please take him to your GP and ask for a referral to a neurology consultant (maybe the one your boyfriend goes to?). I have a great-nephew who is 4 now, and they are helping him out. There are also groups on Facebook for parents with children affected - these might be able to help you too.
My son has been going through this as well since he was 1 1/2 years old, he hasn't been diagnosed yet (waiting for genetic counsellor appointment) , but I've taken him to my GP and he just says I don't know, but did say he has pes cavus.
Not to be negative but measure his height could just be growing my boy grew 5" in a matter of weeks . Try not to put everything to CMT you'll never rest in doing so .
