I am new to the cloudy project and looking forward to sharing pain stories with everyone. I am riddled with arthritis linked to Ulcerative Colitis for which I have had to have major surgery. Would also like to hear everyone's opinions on if vitamins can help?
Hi I have crohns and suffer with arthritis connected to it plus fibromyalgia. I'm lucky that I've not yet had to go through surgery. What is the surgery like and how much has it affected your life. I hope you don't mind me asking but I'm sure you feel that living with IBD can be a very lonely place. There is a Facebook page called'get your belly out' sounds a bit strange but give it a go there are so many lovely people on there suffering just like us but giving so much support. I hope you find this helps. I would also like to know about vitamins so hopefully someone out there can help xx
My colon burst so surgery was the only option and was performed as a emergency literally 3 days after I was diagnosed so I don't have much experience of living with IBD. It started whilst I was in Sri Lanka on holiday so initially was misdiagnosed as a tropical disease.
The surgery saved my life so is easy to live with. It was also 18 years ago now so living with a bag is just second nature to me now. It is the arthritis that is my biggest issue. I take vitamins but as I have only a small digestive system now not sure how much is actually absorbed
