Bedn in Zanubrutinib for about 7 weeks. On Sun... - CLL Support
Bedn in Zanubrutinib for about 7 weeks. On Sunday I started experiencing pain in my back, side and under the ribs. Same as before treatment
Yes, Nana. I’m on Calquence, a similar drug type to Zanubrutinib, and had the same pains in the first couple of months. To be honest, I thought I had pulled muscles in these areas. I found it less painful to sleep in a reclining armchair than in a bed. Did that for 3 weeks until the pain eased. All I can advise is that the pain will recede with time. My CLL consultant didn’t seem phased by my symptoms so I guess they aren’t so unusual. Grin and bear it until they go! And, of course, make life easier with the usual off-the-shelf painkillers. Lots of luck.
When I first started taking Acalabrutinib I would wake up with what felt like bone pain. I would get up and walk and put heating pads in my bed. Now on Zanubrutinib I haven’t had that problem. My guess, not being in the medical field, is how the medication is fighting the good fight in our bodies. I hope it subsides soon! 👩🦳
The same thing is happening to me right now. My GP gave me pain pills yesterday and order X-Rays to check for a compression fracture. I also have to sleep in a recliner. This is my third month on Zanu.
