Hello everyone since 2 month i feel extremly tired even when i am sleeping 12 or 13h. It's really hard. My doctor give me a blood analys last month. Everything is good only my White cell are bad. The leucocytes where at 3600 for à normal range between 4000 and 1000. I do à check up every 2 years and usuelly my leucocytes are at 5000.My neutrophiles are at 1700 usually they are at 3000.

This month i make an other check. The leucocytes are at 3800 so à little better. But the neutrophiles are low at 1500.

I am steel very very tired all day. My doctor is not concerned. For him everything is ok my White cells are not that bad even if they are far down than usually.

What do you think ? Anyone was in the same situation than me ? Thanks you all.

Sounds like it could be Anemia. What's your hemoglobin and red blood cell count.

Hi Lexdes,

You've joined a support community for Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia / Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma, where leukocyte counts are above the normal range. I take it that you don't have a leukaemia or lymphoma diagnosis?

It's possible that your tiredness might be due to your low neutrophil count - you are bordering on stage 2 neutropenia. With neutropenia, your body finds it harder to fight off infections, including from bugs that we always have present in and on our bodies, but which don't normally cause us health problems.

Do you have any symptoms of inflammation or infection besides your tiredness? Has your doctor checked your blood C-Reactive Protein serum level?

Thanks, yes sure i dont have leukemya for now.

I dont have any inflammations or infections. Protein c is good too. And all others things are good in my blood analyse.

Have you landed on an actual diagnosis from your doctor? If so, are they GP, Oncology, Hematology?

No my doctor said that is not worry about my situation. Hé said that i am little lower than thé normal but its not alarming. Hé told me that maybe its à virus and it will pass with time.

The problem is that i am really tired and its the first time my numbers are so low. Thats why i am à little worried about what could i have.

Really à big thanks for your time.

Have you considered something like sleep apnea being your issue? With this you think you sleep well but actually you don't get enough deep sleep.

Symptoms are fatigue, daytime sleepiness and often snoring.

Appropriate treatment for this is life changing.

Good luck.

Yes i am thinking of it. I use an app to analyse when i sleep and it says that i am good but i know its not 100% reliable.

I will take about this with my doctor next time and check it. But the only thing is that my tiredness match with the fact i loss white cell blood thats why i am à little concerned.

Sorry everyone if my english is not perfect. I am from Portugal.

Hi I'm feeling the same way, I also have had blood tests and my doctor is not worried about it. He has started me on vitamins though and have another blood test booked for today (6 aug) would like to know if this is normal.

Perhaps you should ask your doctor to refer you to a haematologist-a doctor who specialises in disorders of the blood. (I am assuming of course that the doctor you refer to in your posts is a general practitioner, not a haematologist).

So your blood is okay and your only complaint is that you are tired? It would help if you shared your age, general health status, activity levels etc. It is hard to try to guess why anybody would be tired unless you know at least some basic info about the person.

I'm in a CLL cancer trial and WBC fell so low they could not treat me until they gave me a drug injection I had to take 3 times. It did bring my WBC up into normal range.

From your description, you developed neutropenia, which increases your risk of infection. That's quite common with all CLL treatments.

It's normal to either defer the treatment cycle for the neutrophil count to recover - usually above 1. 5 is required, or if that doesn't work, prescribe G-CSF injections into the skin over your abdomen (neulasta, filgrastim, etc.).

Make sure you are tested for activated epstein barr. Everyone almost has it from early in life, but when immune compromised it can reactivate (as it did for me) which can really knock you flat. I remember having to go to the grocery store and being aware that I felt like I weighed 400 pounds (I'm a bit over 100) meaning felt very heavy just to walk or stand somewhere. Exhausted!
