You will do great, it's very full on at the beginning but an amazing treatment. Feel free to read my other posts, I kept a diary of my experience on O+V. I felt better after the first infusion. All the best 🙏🏻❤️

Thanks sooo much. I barely slept last night!

I can totally relate. I was so scared - there was no reason really but it was very intense in the lead up. Imagine I couldn't have the first infusion as my last blood test before the infusion showed 0 neutrophils. By the time my CLL specialist OKed it on the day, it was too late to start. I had to go back home, having spent a whole day at the unit, and go through the stress again the following day 🤦🏻‍♀️you couldn't make it up 🙂you will be able to catch up on your sleep in the chair while hooked up 🙂the pre infusion drugs will make you sleepy. Let us know how you get on.

Today went off without a hitch. Let's see how tomorrow goes.I read all the side effects that could happen and it freaked me out! I'm scared of coming home and getting reactions at home. I'm glad you did well.

Wishing you as smooth a journey as I’ve had.

8 months into V&O and it’s gone amazingly well, with no real side effects.

Drink plenty of water and take a good book.

Best wishes. I was watch and wait for 10 years and started treatment on O &V January 2023. I posted a summary about what it was like for the first few days which might be interesting. We are all different and I wish you all the best.

First day is the hardest. I finished my treatment in October of 2023. Only difficulty was trying to sleep after the steroids. Good luck. You will do great.

So how are you doing now?? I had no reactions on the first and second treatment. I’m

Skittish about going out. They told me to be careful but live my life.

I'm doing great. My energy level is high, no muscle weakness. I was careful to not be in crowded places and if I do go inside with a crowd, I wear a mask. My bone marrow tap at the end of treatment showed undetected. It may take a bit of time, but I hope you have the same recovery and reaction as I did. You got this!

Thanks. I hope so. I think I’ll wear a mask in restaurants because we go out a lot. But you still have to take it off to eat!

All the best to you. I just completed 0&V in May 2024. Get comfortable asking questions so you gain confidence in knowing what to feel. I had a couple bumps in the road but totally tolerable (for me) I am 74 for reference. It started working very quickly to reduce enlarged lymph nodes. My best, Wendy (PS reach out if you have questions that we can answer) you will do great!

I call these treatments my hubby's CLL warrior Angels! He did obinutuzumab and now is on acalabrutinib and venetoclax and is doing very well. I'm praying you too have the same wonderful results!

good luck! It’s what I had, and it worked! It’s not too bad at all and you will make lots of friends. You never have to worry because they look after you so closely! 🤗

I’m hooked up now! All good so far. I noticed my sugar was high. I’m wondering if it’s from eating too much sugar or because my wbc and lymphocytes are so high.

Good luck, make sure you drink plenty of water. I used to take a 2 Litre bottle and drink whilst on the drip.

great to hear you have had your first two doses! The first dose is the one that’s potentially the most difficult so you are doing great! 👍
