I think you need the advice of your medical team Nora. Don’t stop taking your Venetoclax unless they expressly advise you to. I still took it even during treatment for Covid but it has to be on medical advice.

Best wishes,

Newdawn

I also continues to take V when I came down with Covid on the advice of my dr. The question you should ask your dr is should you take Paxlovid for Covid?

I don't know about Paxlovid, but looked it up and doesn't seem to interact with V. Trouble is, there is never anyone to ask at the weekends!!

drugs.com drugs.com/interactions-chec... states "Using venetoclax together with ritonavir is generally not recommended. Combining these medications may significantly increase the blood levels and effects of venetoclax... "

It's the ritonavir in Paxlovid that can increase the risk of side effects from venetoclax. If you've been on venetoclax for some time and are tolerating it very well, then your doctor will probably okay you continuing on it, otherwise they would recommend a pause while on Paxlovid. As Newdawn said, this is really a question for your medical team. Bad luck about the timing, because you do need to start the Paxlovid as soon as possible after learning you have COVID-19. Wishing you a fast recovery.
