Side effect -Zanubrutinib

Hey y’all,

I started taking Zanubrutinib yesterday. I have become pretty hoarse today. Anyone else experienced this?

no I have never heard of that. I’ve had CLL for 22 yrs and I had Zanubrutinib years ago and never had any issues with the drug.

We are having extremely hot humid weather in the US. Could it be from the weather and allergies? I just switched from Acalabrutinib to Zanabrutinib. I have had a cough for awhile and runny nose. My oncologist said either allergies or post nasal drip. Before treatment on both I rarely had these issues. I think on my part it may be due to having a compromised immune system. I am taking Claritin and it seems to be helping. Just a thought……😊

Check to see if you have Covid. My brother in law just tested positive for Covid and his first symptom was hoarseness. He was speaking to his daughter by phone and she noticed the hoarseness and suggested he test for Covid. She’s a nurse. He immediately saw the dark pink line on the test. Good luck. Sally

My husband experienced hoarseness that would come and go on acalabrutinib, but we can’t remember any on zanubrutinib. Hope yours is just from allergies that resolves soon!
