That's my question!
Also, if someone were on a BTKi, on average, would it be better to pause the BTKi to take Paxlovid, or to keep taking the BTKi and also take Molnupiravir?
Just curious.

I am on W&W & was prescribed Molnupiravir for Covid in Dec 2021 - it worked well. I am still W&W & early January caught the current strain of Covid - this time was prescribed Paxlovid, but either this Covid is worse or it wasn't as effective as Molnupiravir.
Those are two different medications. Not my experience but what I read on this site says that Ibru should be stopped for 5 days while you take Paxlovid
Hi DRM18,

My impression is that the medical professionals choose the least worst option.
If you read these 7 past postings discussing the two drugs,
healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo...
I believe you will find that Paxlovid is more likely to be effective against COVID, but if the patient is taking one of the many other drugs that are contraindicated (aka: dramatically affected by Paxlovid) - typically heart medications etc. that cannot be paused, then using Molnupiravir (Lagevrio) is the least worst option.
In this situation, using a drug that may work in some cases, is better than no anti COVID drug, or a combination or pause that could kill the patient.
