I ran across this article in the other day in the Phila Inquirer, which I subscribe to. Being as I have some recent experience with the CAR-T program at Penn, it was a nice read. Not sure if these links will open, but they are easily searchable with little effort.

Wow, I had no idea it has been 6 months. I hope all is well with you also. I am feeling better every day and getting caught up on all of the little home projects from the summer. I have had to visit Perelman about twice a week to keep a check on my ANC and fibrenogen. Both keep dropping and I have had to get "CRYO" infusions and neulasta injections for my ANC. Dr Svoboda says it might take months for those to normalize. I have a 60 day checkup next Monday. Take care # 3.
Your appointment is just a week before mine. It would be so cool if we had a follow-up on the same day! I also needed shots for my ANC but that has finally stabilized. It does take a bit for things to return to normal. My hemoglobin is still low, but not terrible. Are you still having any GI issues? Mine are not as bad as they had been but definitely still not normal. Wishing you all the best #5. I wonder how #4 is doing?
Hey Nan, sitting here on the 1st floor at Perelman waiting for my fibrenogen result. What time is your appointment at Penn in 2 weeks, I might be here also. My stomach issues have gone away, I was 154.7 4 days out of the hospital, today 167.7 on the same scale. I am eating everything insight.
I hope your fibrinogen results are improved today! I will arrive around 11:30 for a 12:00 appointment with Dr. Svoboda on 11/20. That is a great sign that you were able to regain the weight you lost. I have gained about 8 of the 10 pounds I lost.
Safe travels from Penn. The traffic can be quite crazy after those later afternoon appointments.
