Sending love to all affected by the war in Israel

Strength and courage, Israel. May Adonai protect you.

And bless too, all those in Gaza who would coexist with Israel in peace.

May you have clean air and water and food and a safe warm place to sleep.

May you soon hear that loved ones are safe.

May you get the medical help you and/or those you love need in a timely fashion.

May this war not escalate.

May this war end soon.

May you be protected until it does end.

May peace prevail on earth.

And may you and your children and partners and parents and cousins and aunts and uncles and friends and teachers and co-workers and neighbors be well this year, and in the years to come.

Shalom,

Maria

Predictably we’ve received objections to this post on the grounds that it’s political and contravenes our posting guidelines. This is the admin position and we’d ask that members respect it in their responses.

The post offers up a message of genuine concern and support for ALL caught up in this dreadful conflict and is non partisan in content. There is no political commentary. We are aware that there will be members on here both personally impacted and involved as a result of family and friends on both sides. This message is being allowed purely as a message of support to anyone finding themselves affected by the pain and suffering of this and all current conflicts. We’ve had similar posts supporting the predicament of the Ukrainian people. There’s no winners in war, it hurts the innocents and as patients who rely on consistent medical services, we understand only too well how hard this must be for people who can’t receive it for whatever reason.

Please restrict any responses to general expressions of support and concern. Any political comments will be removed.

Thank you.

Newdawn on behalf of Admin.

This site has no place for political opinions. We are here to share our CLL journey. While this may not appear to be political, it is!

Sharing love and support for people who have been devasted by violence and tragedy is not " political ". It is kind and compassionate, and the right thing to do.

I have been moved by the outpouring of support and kindness. It is beginning to restore my shaken faith in humanity. It was not my intention to burden our moderators with a thorny issue in a fraught time. They already carry a lot.

Bayside64, and anyone else bothered enough by what I wrote to report me to the moderators, if you are still feeling upset, please just send a note to me in the chat, and I will read it and try to hear your point of view.

Very glad to know you are doing well, Hoffy. Yes, my heart is feeling very heavy - a terrible event, on top of a series of recent terrible events in the world

All the best to you, Hoffy, and to our fellow international forum members in these very difficult times. ❤️
