I wish to express my most sincere apologies for my mis-spelling in my previous post. I was enquiring about kefir and wrote kafir. This is a highly offensive term and I wish to apologize to anyone offended by it. It wasn't my intention to do so.

Apologies to all.
I am pretty sure most, if not, all of us knew that you were referring to Kefir But good that you are sensitive to this. So many people are not. I've slowly been getting my consciousness raised about the language we use and it is important.
As to your query about kefir, I'm sorry but I don't know the answer. I'm only on watch and wait and have made my own kefir for years and also ferment cabbage and beans. So I hope that one can have it! Eleanor

I like the idea of fermented cabbage and have thought about this as well. Maybe I’ll give it a go. Thanks for your reply

No worries....It was obvious what you were referring to. No idea what the other word meant. I will look that up for future information.
You can edit the title, or any sentences within a post.
I for one (as a pagan), am not offended....🍻
Good on you for being alive to people's sensitivities.
IMO, without the necessary context, nobody could have reason to interpret "kafir" as the racist term associated with apartheid, or the Arabic term for an unbeliever, both derogatory. It was an obvious typo.
It's important to be mindful of the language we use, especially when it comes to words that can be offensive to others. I'm glad that you were so quick to apologize and correct your mistake. It shows that you are a thoughtful and considerate person😊
I know that you were asking about kefir, which is a fermented milk drink. The word 'kaffir' is a different word that has a different meaning. It is important to be aware of the difference between these two words so that we can avoid using the wrong one.
I take Imbruvica, but I can still eat yogurt and kefir without any problems. In fact, they help me stay regular.👍🏼
