Been diagnosed 4 month and thought my whole life would change, but it hasn’t still exactly the same, wouldn’t say I’ve come to terms with it, I’m pretty calm about it, which surprises me, My wife bought me a puppy, I’ve never had a dog my whole life and now I’m sad I never had one, best gift I’ve ever been given. So just gonna wait and watch now like I’ve been told to do. And walk my dog.

There's intriguing data that dog ownership improves your life expectancy. I'd say that's actually more likely to be true when you have CLL (provided you take precautions against infections), because of the recognised importance of exercise improving the quantity and quality of our lives when we have cancer.

That’s so wonderful that you have a puppy and a wife who is in tune with your needs. For me, even though I always took advantage of living a full life, one positive effect of being diagnosed is taking that up a notch and doing things now instead of someday. Enjoy!
Hi Dexi67, Congratulations on your new puppy. They are a bundle of love.👍
My best friend is 13 and is always happy to see me, makes me laugh and is calming AND likes to cuddle. 😊 Stay calm and enjoy a new best friend.
Awesome about your dog. My beautiful little fella is old now. He lies against me on the sofa, and we just enjoy each other's company. So grateful!
