This is for the Webmaster & crew but I'd also like the opinions of you all:
I've been on W&W for over 12 years (I'm now on L&L - Lead & Lethargy) and I'm familiar with many of the nicknames/abbreviations of many of the procedures, medicines, etc., but I usually can't remember many of them as I'm reading.
Would it be possible for HealthcareUnlocked to have a "floating" or collapsible, searchable glossary that we could refer to as we read the posts and articles? I used to be in IT and used PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS to write fairly simple but useful code to create such items (MySQL would be used only if a database were needed for editing, additions and/or deletions or you could use the much simpler CSV - Comma Separated Values).
Just an idea.
Thank you for having this site. It most certainly helps.

The HealthUnlocked site has over 300 communities covering over 200 different conditions if I recall correctly, with most having their own specific glossary. Most members access the site via a mobile device. By all means forward your suggestion to HU Support at support@healthunlocked.com
Meanwhile, we do have this pinned post glossary healthunlocked.com/cllsuppo... which could be used as a source for your searchable glossary, or, more practically, just be opened in a separate browser tab.
I am on lead and lethargy also, it sucks. I hope you can feel better soon. The glossary is a good idea. Hang in there, at least we are all in this together here.
Thanks you for this post and to AussieNeil for the link to the CLL glossary. I always struggle with the abbreviations in the CLL posts so it is good to have this link.
Proper protocol is to enter abbreviation followed by full abbreviation spelling inside brackets at first usage of abbreviation. In consideration that we now live in the computer word processing age, this should not be asking too much. I made this same suggestion to my son, couple of years ago, who is in computer operations service. He maybe including some info on abbreviation pop-up programing in his next book. Blessings.
