Thought I'd get brave and share this with you all... I'm newly diagnosed 40yr old mother of 3 young boys and I've started a blog to document my CLL journey and hopefully bring encouragement to others with a shared diagnosis. Today I'm celebrating a step back from treatment and a longer watch & wait period... feel free to read and subscribe - may we all be blessed with Courage, Love and Legacy!

All the best on your journey❤️ I'm also a mum of three, I'm 42... my oldest boy is 9, my daughter is 6 and my youngest son is 3. I was 27 weeks through my pregnancy with the youngest one when I was diagnosed. This was almost 4 years ago. I'm nearing the end of my first treatment with O+V. Feel free to read my other posts. I will keep an eye out on your blog.
It's not a journey we would have willingly want to undergo but now we are on it, we have to do our best to follow the rules and maintain our "vehicles" in a good condition - right 🙂hope you continue feeling well for a long time. Your lymphocytes might be "the bouncy type". Mine certainly were...going from in their 40s to 15, from in their 90s to just over 70. If I could give myself one piece of advice - it would be - do not focus on and obsess about your lymphocyte count, it will increase with time, it's the nature of the disease. Focus on how you are feeling and while you are feeling well, enjoy every single day because if and when the time comes you start feeling the burden of CLL on your body, your life will be put on hold for a while...so enjoy it while you can, the bl..dy lymphocytes will most likely go up anyway so why stress about it 🙂(P.S. it's also your other numbers than can cause issues but we tend to focus on the lymphocyte count - I had a terrible anaemia and 0 neutrophils when I started treatment plus other symptoms).
Petra ❤️
Thanks for posting, loved reading your inspiring blog!
I wish you the very best. I was 43 when diagnosed 10 years ago with 3 boys, the youngest being 12. I’m currently in remission after a year on O & V. My first oncologist would “shoo” me out of his office by instructing me to “go live your life!” Best advice ever. My appreciation of each day has never waned.
